UNSILENT

"You turned my wailing into dancing;
   you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent.
   LORD my God, I will praise you forever."
 Psalm 30:11-12

Thus, UNSILENT. Which is a new word I'm coining, just for your information.

What would it look like, to live an unsilent life for Jesus Christ? To never be afraid to praise His name among the nations? After all, He has turned our mourning into dancing!

I've been thinking a lot about how Jesucristo changed everything. The Foretold Messiah, come to save the world from their sins! Before Jesucristo, we were lost and dying. Broken. Arrogant. Devious. Wicked. Weeping. Mourning.
After Jesucristo, everything changed. We now have hope, salvation, life! How can that not be something worth dancing about!

So, this is my new resolution to myself. I'm going to live a life for Jesucristo. Unsilent.

  1. One little thing in your post: That "After" bugs me a bit. Would you be willing to change it to "Through Jesuchristo"? David is looking forward in this psalm, he is looking to God's Anointed One to be the Savior of the world, and he's dancing in delight long long "before" Jesus' life and death.

    Hope never left, God didn't have to change His mind and fix our folly, He created knowing He would die, and offering salvation to all who would "call upon His name" ( :-)

    I know you didn't mean what bugged me by the "before/after" statement... but I felt the desire to comment :-)

  2. Comments are good, and I agree.
    I guess "after" isn't good word choice. Through or because of would be better. Although, I was not looking at it in a historical sense but more personal. My life before Jesucristo and my life after He radically changed everything. That's where the "after" kinda makes sense. But "through" works too :).
